 How do I activate my EasiDraw Single User Home Edition?

  1. If you are using Windows XP, make sure you have full computer administrator rights before proceeding to the next step.
  2. Click Start button.
  3. Select Programs > EasiDraw > EasiDraw for MS PowerPoint.

  4. The Registration form will pop-up.

  5. Send the Registration ID, your name and e-mail address to the e-mail address stated in the Registration form.

  6. The Activation Code will be sent to you within one business day.

 How do I register EasiDraw Free Edition?

  1. If you are using Windows XP, make sure you have full computer administrator rights before proceeding to the next step.
  2. Click Start button.
  3. Select Programs > EasiDraw > EasiDraw for MS Word.

  4. The Registration form will pop-up.

  5. In the EasiDraw - General toolbar, select Help menu.

  6. Click Register EasiDraw button.  Click here if you can't find it.

  7. The Registration form will pop-up.

  8. Send the Registration ID, your name and e-mail address to the e-mail address stated in the Registration form.

  9. The Activation Code will be sent to you as soon as possible.

  3. Select Programs > EasiDraw > EasiDraw for MS Word.
  4. In the EasiDraw - General toolbar, select Help menu. 

  5. Click Register EasiDraw button.  Click here if you can't find it.

  6. The Registration form will pop-up.

  7. The Registration ID can be found some where in the center of the form.

 I am using EasiDraw Single User Home Edition, do I have to activate EasiDraw  for MS Word and MS PowerPoint separately?

No.  Once one of them is activated, the other is activated too.

 I can't find the Register EasiDraw button in EasiDraw for MS Word.

The Register EasiDraw button is found under Help menu in the EasiDraw - General toolbar.  If you can't see the Help menu, MS Word may have hidden part of this toolbar.

To find the EasiDraw - General toolbar, you may have to look for the other menus in this toolbar e.g. Rotate menu.  Once it is found, click the >> icon at the right-hand end of the toolbar.  The hidden buttons/menus will be displayed.

 The error message says: “The macro cannot be found or has been disabled

 because of your Macro Security Settings.”

  1. You need to reset the security level in the MS Word/PowerPoint:

  2. Select Tools > Macro > Security from the toolbars at the top of the MS Word/PowerPoint window.

  3. The Security tab dialogue box appears.

  4. Select Security Level tab.

  5. Select Low or Medium.

  6. Shut down MS Word/PowerPoint.

  7. Re-start MS Word/PowerPoint.

  8. If you have selected Medium, the following dialogue box appears:

 EasiDraw diagram is in a mess when it appears on the screen.

  1. If the EasiDraw diagram appears in a mess like below:

  1. You need to change the default Wrapping style of your MS Word.

  2. Select View > Toolbars.

  3. Select Drawing if the Drawing option is not checked.

  4. Click Rectangle icon on the Drawing toolbar.

  5. Draw a rectangle of any size on the MS Word document.

  6. For MS Word XP user only. Go to step 8 if you are using MS Word 2000.

  • Right click on the rectangle.

  • Select Cut in the pop-up menu.

  • Press Delete on the keyboard to delete the Drawing Canvas outline.

  • Right click on the same page.

  • Click Paste in the pop-up menu.

  • Continue with Step 8.

  1. Right click on the rectangle.

  2. Select Format AutoShape in the popup menu.

  3. Select Layout tab.

  4. Select In front of text and click OK button.

  5. Right click on the rectangle again and select Set AutoShape Defaults in the popup menu.

  6. Delete the rectangle.

 Nothing happens after I click the EasiDraw diagram buttons.

  1. EasiDraw is in the process of generating the diagram you have selected.

  2. The time taken depends on the speed of your computer and the diagram selected.

  3. To speed up this process, double click anywhere on the same page where the cursor is.

  4. The EasiDraw diagram will appear in a second.

 I can't place EasiDraw diagram at the position I want.

  1. Select View > Toolbars.

  2. Select Drawing if the Drawing option is not checked.

  3. Select Draw > Grid… on the Drawing toolbar.

  4. Unchecked Snap objects to grid in the Drawing Grid dialogue box.

  5. Click OK button.

 I want to make small position shift to EasiDraw diagram.

  1. Ensure the Snap objects to grid check box is unchecked. Refer to Question     I can’t place EasiDraw diagram at the exact position I want for details.

  2. Select the EasiDraw diagram you want move.

  3. Use the arrow keys on the keyboard or the arrow buttons on EasiDraw toolbar to shift the selected object.

 How do I shift the subgroups of the Micrometer Outline diagram?

  1. Right click on the Micrometer Outline diagram.

  2. Select Grouping > Ungroup in the popup menu.

  3. Click on the Spindle group.

  4. Press and hold the Shift key on the keyboard. Click on the Thimble/Ratchet group using the mouse.

  5. Release the Shift key. Both in the Spindle and Thimble/Ratchet groups are highlighted.

  6. Use the arrow keys on the keyboard or the left/right arrow on the EasiDraw toolbars to shift the highlighted groups.

  7. After shifting, right click on any part of the Micrometer Outline diagram.

  8. Select Grouping > Regroup in the popup menu to regroup the diagram.

 How do I shift the subgroups of the Vernier Caliper Outline diagram?

  1. Right click on the Vernier Caliper Outline diagram.

  2. Select Grouping > Ungroup in the popup menu.

  3. Click on the Moving Scale group of the Vernier Caliper Outline diagram.

  4. Press and hold the Shift key on the keyboard. Click on the Tail group using the mouse.

  5. Release the Shift key. Both the Moving Scale and the Tail groups are highlighted.

  6. Use the left/right arrow keys on the keyboard or left/right arrow keys on the EasiDraw toolbar to shift the highlighted groups.

  7. After shifting, right click on any part of the Vernier Caliper Outline diagram.

  8. Select Grouping > Regroup in the popup menu to regroup the diagram.

 The graph paper/grid is not to the correct size when I print it out using a printer.

  1. Select File > Page Setup.

  2. Select Paper tab in the popup menu.

  3. Set the Paper Size to your desired size.  E.g. A4, Letter etc.

  4. Click Ok.

  5. Select File > Print.

  6. Click Printer Properties button.

  7. Ensure the printer paper/page size is set to the same paper size as above.

  8. Click Options button.

  9. Un-check the Allow A4/Letter size resizing option in the popup menu.
